Aleksei Rybnikov - Bolshoe Kosmicheskoe Puteshestvie (Big Space Travel) (1973)
Aleksei Rybnikov - Unknown Song (USSR, 1973)
I found this very recently on the toys and techniques blogspot just surfing around looking for obscure/outsider music to listen to.
As far as I can gather from the little information on this it is the soundtrack to a Russian Sci-Fi series much in the same vein as 'The Tomorrow People'. On first listen I was immediately captivated, if anything demands a high recommendation, this certainly does.
There's something compelling about Roger Webb, he seemed to have a sound all of his own. I picked this track especially because of it's otherworldly baroque feel, plus it has a nice little break in it.

The most recent mix by DJ Alfonso, and if I may be so bold to say, he never disappoints. It's always a quality and eclectic affair comprising of Library obscuriosities, forgotten soundtracks and general 60's and 70's madness.
There are very few people out there representing this style of music, every once in a while it imposes itself into the substrata of the mainstream only to disappear again.
Please support anyone trying to keep the spirit of library production music alive, and give some of their work a listen, you'll usually find that the collectors are very passionate and put great care and attention into any work they generate.
Kenjiro Hirose - Kenka Timon Game Woman 5 (Japan, 1974)
As best as I can find this is from the soundtrack to 'Girl Boss: Diamond Showdown'. It's a great little mid tempo funky piece with an excellent drum break in the middle. As I think I've previously said, there are a lot of nuggets to be found in late 60's early 70's Japanese soundtrack music.
Again, the title was produced by Google translator and could mean anything. Most of the time you end up with titles like 'Blind Man Woman Death Battle Albatross Lampshade M-3', which to be fair, could very well be the title. Either way, it must have been a hell of a fight sequence if it existed anywhere but in my mind.
